What are you waiting for?

What are you waiting for? I ask myself the same question? I have written down goals that have been on paper for the past five years. It's time! Have you ever seen an agenda and at the bottom you see new business and unfinished business? Let's begin together and complete the unfinished business. Time is still moving, get excited about what you want to complete, read about it, surround yourself around people who are moving and not standing still on their dreams and goals.

Peace in the Valley

Keep on praying, keep on trusting, keep on believing while you are going through your valley experience. Depression, fear, confusion, divison and YOU must get out the way. While going through your valley experience there will be times when you feel this is it, I can't take it anymore. Let us not go weary in well-doing, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.(Galatians 6:9)See once again we start thinking about our situation we tend to take it to the extreme causing us to feel weary. But God! He's right there, right now, and He never left, you did. Don't let the valley take you out.

We must allow the anointing to fall on us in our valley experience. How will we ever experience God's peace if we don't allow Him to be apart of our everyday life? Yes He is God and He will give you the peace that you need in your situation. But you must seek Him FIRST. Don't go to a friend, husband, wife, mother, father, etc. He wants you to come to Him first always. He will heal your sickness, comfort your heart and protect your mind from evil.

I will keep praying, trusting, and believing in God during my valley experience. Allow your valley experience to become our Victory foundation.

Protection

I couldn't decided what to talk about this week. The one thing that came to mind was protection. I thought about protection because our hearts are very fragile. At some point in our lives we have been heart broken before. It may be from the death of a loved one, a relationship, or untold depression. I also thought about protection over our minds since that's where the enemy attacks first.

We must pray for protection over our hearts and minds. Don't allow negative thoughts to start and dictate your day. If you feel like you just can't help it. Start praying right away, don't allow the enemy to have your mind this week!

Encourage yourself

I just finished listening to the song "Encourage yourself" simple words. "Sometimes you have to encourage yourself and speak victory during your test" Wow! Once again powerful words to put into the atomsphere about YOU. Of course,we are going through something. Our situation could make us feel depressed, lonely, unappreciated and the list could go on.

But we all know that doubt and fear starts in our own minds. We don't need anyone to tell us we can't do something. At some point we tell ourselves we can't do it. As babies we believe we can do all things. We actually have to be told not to jump off the bed. Where does fear come into our lives? At the age of 2,5,10? We try just about anything when we are at the age of 2. Just sit and watch a two year old one day and see what he/she gets into. We call it the terrible two's.

Once we start to think in our heads we can not attain something we tend to let it go. It's easier to not do, so we don't feel like a failure. Whatever happended to Encouraging yourself! We can't afford for anyone to encourage us. The small voice we hear in our heads can be harmful to our minds and also to the future of our dreams or goals.

So on this day I say to you "Love and Encourage yourself in your situation" He's sees our victories so why can't YOU!

Position

Who and what do you depend on? Food to keep you from becoming hungry?
Water to keep you from being dehydrated on the hot summer days?
A paycheck for completing a week's worth of work? A house for shelter?

The few items mentioned above we believe they are needed to survive. You
are absolutely correct we do need them. But where does it come from?
Some would say food comes from the store, while others would say from a farm. In the Bible it says "God created Heaven and Earth" We receive access to water in our homes (our shelter) for free, our paycheck is like clock work every week. The home in which we live in provides a covering for you and me.

Man may assist receiving such items but ultimately our Father in Heaven supplies all of our needs.

So in simple words "Don't put yourself in position to depend on man and not depend on God"

Wondering Why?

I see children with no supervision
I see innocent victim's being shoot everyday
I see families going through tough financial times
I see animals being abused

Wondering Why?

I see racism still being displayed
I see the drug dealers continue to sell no matter the cost
I see crime reach higher rates as the whether gets warmer
I see politicians stealing

Wondering Why?

I see the crisis in Haiti
I see people leaving their spouses
I see artist not wanting to sing
I see more men walking around with their pants to their knees

Build your fortress around you

I attended Bible class last week Wednesday and topic of discussion was Delight or Delusion? It was very interesting and here are some of the points that stuck with me which I hope helps you.

You know how you can read articles or even see on t.v. how this product promises you that it can help you loose 7lbs in five days. Someone may even paint you a picture of a perfect opportunity and it may only benefit them. We must really look and see if this is just a way to lure you into providing some type of satisfaction for their own purposes. Watch out for the promises MAN will try to give you.

So now that we know that we can be placed in a situation where someone or something can give us a delusion. What do you do? Take note and start to build your fortress. Make sure that you are in position to be ready for any delusions in your life.

You have been placed on a solid foundation to withstand anything. You chest/heart is protected with your shield of faith, make sure your helmet is placed on tight because satan loves to get in your head. Pull out your sword (Bible) and cut them in half with your favorite scriptures. Pastor Munsey then went on to say, "If you notice my back is not protected, that's because God never intended for you to turn around to your past" The Bible say's Goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life. So you don't have to worry about your back because the angels of heaven are flying behind you for protection.

So build your fortress with prayer keep the lines of communication open!

Black Skin

I was inspired to write this poem after reading an article that was written by Jada Pickett-Smith. She talked about our skin. Here's the piece....

This skin has been talked about, wrote about,
stared at, preached at, hit on, spit on,
shot down, put down and kicked around
even to this day

And yet we still stand strong to excel
to the highest level of excellence
We strive to be our own voice because
most of the time we have no choice

Therefore we can't be afraid of our own
black skin

To some this may put you in position
to sit and listen

The struggles of our past shame won't
help us in this game. Treating our
sisters with hatred in the eyes, women
you know we know our own kind

Envy of each other, won't admit jealously
of each other.

We can't be afraid of our own black skin

Why can't we walk down the street and
give the head nod like the guys do?
Instead we walk down the street and act
as if we hate each other, no love for
one another.

Don't let the drug dealers sell you no weed
No, I'm not speaking of the stuff you smoke
I'm speaking of the things that allow you to
kill your self-esteem. Words! Powerful as they
may be, we must understand that when we speak
negative things we might as well welcome
negative things.

Stop with the words being so vertical and let's
try to be horizontal and expand your mind. No, your
not out of time. Your diploma is waiting, your
college degree is waiting, your new business is
waiting and many opportunities are waiting just
for you.

So don't be afraid of your own black skin....
